Mitsuyo’s magic sauce(JP)(refrigerate 2 weeks)

COOK TIME:  10 minutes

PREP TIME: 5 minutes


A very useful basic sauce for Japanese style dishes.


1cup Sweet sake

1cup Soy sauce

1cup Bonito flakes


  1. Put sweet sake in a medium pan over low heat.
  2. Boil for 2 minutes.
  3. Add soy sauce and turn off the heat before it gets boiled.
  4. Add bonito flakes and leave until it gets cold.
  5. Strain and keep in a glass/plastic bottle.

For soup for noodle.. 3 fold dilution

For dip soup for cold noodle..2 fold dilution

For stew, salad, pour on Tofu.. you can use for every healthy Japanese style dish!
